"Today, as well as in the past week saw the light of articles calling into question the legality partnership between the Ferrari team and company Philip Morris International. These materials are based on two assumptions - that the colors for cars like the Formula 1 logo Marlboro, and even that the red color of our cars, which is their characteristic feature, advertise tobacco.

None of these arguments lacked a scientific basis, in both cases there is only a reference to some studies, which have never been published in academic journals. But much more important that they do not correspond to reality. The so-called bar-code is an integral part of the coloring machines and all images associated with the Scuderie. This is evidenced by the fact that it varies from year to year and sometimes during the season. Moreover, if it was advertising a brand, the company Philipp Morris would have a legitimate right to it.

The partnership between Ferrari and Philip Morris is currently attending a number of ways, including visits to the plant, meet with the riders, the sale of souvenirs - all these activities are happening in different countries, exclusively within the limits prescribed by law. In racing cars since 2007 no logos or brands, even in those countries where such is permitted by local law.
